Measure the route before the room: the narrowest door, every turn, any stairs and the lift decide what is possible. Compare them with the documented body widths — 770 mm (LUMEN central body), 830 mm (ORION COMPACT), 860 mm (ARC, side glass removed), 880 mm (ORION), 1,400 mm (VISTA) — and remember these are body widths, not clear openings. Then send us photos and measurements; our engineers check the route with the chamber drawings before production.

VISTA vs LUMEN

Start with the route, not the room
Most buyers measure the room first. The harder question is how the chamber gets there: through the delivery entrance, along corridors, around corners, up steps or into a lift. A hard-shell chamber is a rigid object of several hundred kilograms, so the narrowest point of the route decides what is possible.
Know which width you are comparing
Chamber documentation gives a body width. A body width is not the same as the clear opening a chamber needs: handling equipment, people, door frames and turns all take space. Use the documented widths below as a starting point, never as a guarantee.
| Model | Narrowest documented width | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| LUMEN | 770 mm | Central body, both side modules removed (complete chamber 1,400 mm) |
| ORION COMPACT | 830 mm | Overall width including wheels; developed for elevator access |
| ARC | 860 mm | Both side glass panels removed, or the flat PC window version (980 mm with side glass) |
| ORION | 880 mm | Overall chamber width; normally ships complete |
| VISTA | 1,400 mm | Overall chamber width; cannot be taken apart |

Measure the whole route
- The clear width and height of every door, gate and opening — measure the narrowest point, not the door leaf.
- Corridor widths before and after each turn, and the space needed to swing the chamber around corners.
- Steps, thresholds, ramps and their gradients.
- Stairs: width, headroom and the landing size at each turn.
- Lifts: door width and height, cabin width and depth, and the rated load.
Elevators
ORION COMPACT was developed for elevator access: it measures 1,450 × 830 × 1,450 mm including wheels, and both the chamber and its main unit run on wheels. Its shell is not designed to be taken apart for the lift — the lift itself must be large enough and rated for the load. LUMEN goes up in parts — central body and two side modules — and is rebuilt upstairs. We check the lift doorway, cabin depth and the handling space for each project.
Floors and weight
Hard-shell chambers weigh about 500 kg (ORION COMPACT) to 1,185 kg (ORION), excluding the separate main unit and packaging. Soft chambers weigh 30–50 kg plus an 85 kg all-in-one unit. For upper floors, check the floor loading with your building manager or a structural engineer before ordering.
Room, main unit and power
The published sizes are for the chamber only. Plan space for the main unit, the connections between them, the chamber door's movement and service access. Hard-shell main units need a dedicated circuit: with the standard 10L system, 20 A at 110 V / 60 Hz or 8 A at 220 V / 50 Hz; with the optional 20L system and BIBS, 25 A at 110 V or 13 A at 220 V. A local electrician plans the circuit.
What to send us
- Photos and measurements of each narrow point on the route.
- The floor level, and lift dimensions and load rating if there is a lift.
- The room size and where the main unit can stand.
- Your power supply: voltage and frequency.
Our engineers review the route with the chamber drawings before production. If no standard model fits, a custom engineering solution may.
Questions
Is 770 mm a guaranteed doorway size for LUMEN?
No. 770 mm is the width of LUMEN's central body with both side modules removed. Allow handling clearance and check height, turns and the full route; our engineers confirm it with drawings.
Which chamber fits an elevator?
ORION COMPACT was developed for elevator access at 1,450 × 830 × 1,450 mm on wheels, about 500 kg — provided the lift is large enough and rated for the load. LUMEN can go up in parts.
